When you want to be happy

April 18, 2016

Over the last few years, I have honed my skills of awareness of how I am feeling moment to moment.
And one of the things I noticed is that every time I feel low because a friend didn't keep in touch or a loved one didn't respond the way I would have liked or I am just in a funk and feeling low for no reason at all , it is always and always because my soul / higher self is seeking a better connection with source.
I know this because if I spend time to strengthen that connection to source by meditating or sitting quietly or offering gratitude then I immediately feel much better and am able to get to the happy place with ease.
Nothing in my reality changes for me to feel different, I deliberately nurture  my connection with source and my feeling fantastic is a by-product of that connection.
I can literally feel my vibration rising and you know how important that is to deliberately create the life you desire.
And then of course eventually either my reality improves or that thing that was bringing me down doesn't even matter anymore and sometimes it's both of the above.
Now you could have smaller things in your life that bring you down or perhaps much bigger stuff like ill health of a loved one, loss of a job or perhaps lack of money.
But I encourage you to try spending some time and energy to nurture your connection with source/universe/inner being ( because they are all the same), become one with your higher consciousness, become more energy and less matter, focus more on your inner world than your outer.

And I guarantee you will feel much better. So give it a try.
There are many tools that you can use to improve your connection with source/god/ your higher power.
Here are some that you might want to try

  • Focus on your breathing and slow down

  • Meditation

  • Mantras

  • Gratitude journals

  • Affirmations

Or anything that helps you feel connected to your inner self - it could be walking your dog, swimming in the sea, or even something like playing Lego or painting and colouring .
The objective is to do something that inherently slows down your brain waves and helps you be in the moment at the same time fills you with peace and love.
If you get to try this in your life, I would love to hear about your experience.
